Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassandra Yazzie
Hi Cassandra, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Back in 2021, I became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Florida. However, when I moved to Arizona later that year, I faced an unexpected challenge—I was unable to work as a nurse due to the unconventional way in which I received my license. Despite this setback, I always knew that I would work in the healthcare field in some capacity. I settled for a corporate job, thinking that one day I would leave and find a career that would allow me to help people live healthier, fuller lives.
In 2022, I became more involved with yoga when my friends and I discovered Yoga at the Markets, an event hosted by Yoga’s Arc in downtown Chandler. At the time, I was feeling stuck in a rut, unsure of what I was meant to be doing with my life, and unfulfilled in my corporate job. Then one day, I received an email about Yoga Teacher Training through Yoga’s Arc. The opportunity to help others on their health and wellness journey is what led me to signing up.
My decision to try something new quickly turned into a life-changing journey. I fell in love with yoga as a practice, found immense joy in teaching others, and experienced firsthand the powerful benefits of yoga—losing weight and keeping it off, eliminating chronic heartburn, and finding relief from anxious thoughts. More than just the physical changes, I found my voice and started advocating and standing up for myself, started working through my people-pleasing tendencies, and became a more peaceful and patient person in my daily life.
In the fall of 2023, I graduated with my 200-hour certification, and the very next day, I quit my corporate job to pursue teaching yoga full-time. It was one of the scariest yet most exciting risks I’ve ever taken. In May 2024, I officially launched All In Yoga, a Christian, mobile yoga company designed to meet people where they are—whether through online classes, one-on-one sessions, or group events.
By the fall of 2024, I had completed my 300-hour certification, making me a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (which is similar to earning a master’s degree in the yoga world). In just over a year of teaching, I’ve taught more than 511 classes and counting—something I never could have imagined when I first started. Yoga has completely transformed my life, and I truly don’t know where I’d be without it. Now, I’m honored to share this practice with others and help them discover the same life-changing benefits that I have.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I have definitely crossed a lot of hills and valleys. One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is that not a lot of people run mobile yoga businesses. Unlike traditional yoga teachers who work out of a studio, I don’t have a brick-and-mortar location. Instead, I film from my home, travel to clients’ homes, or meet at various local venues such as Airbnbs, apartment complexes, corporate offices, and event spaces to teach my classes. While this flexibility allows me to reach a wider range of students, it also comes with its own set of challenges—coordinating spaces, ensuring accessibility, and constantly adapting to new environments.
Beyond the logistics, stepping into this career full-time meant navigating the business side of things—something I wasn’t initially prepared for. I had the passion to teach and the drive to pursue it, but I quickly realized that passion alone isn’t enough to build a sustainable business. How do I get started? What platform do I use? How much should I set aside for taxes? Who exactly am I trying to reach? These were all questions I had to figure out, and each one brought its own set of obstacles.
At times, it felt overwhelming, but I refused to let uncertainty hold me back. I immersed myself in learning—watching countless YouTube videos, reading business books, networking with other yoga teachers, and absorbing as much knowledge as I could. Over time, I pieced things together, refining my approach and gaining confidence in the business side of yoga. Eventually, the journey came full circle when I was invited to teach “How to Get Started as a Yoga Teacher/The Business of Yoga” at my alma mater, Yoga’s Arc Yoga Teacher Training.
That experience was a reminder that growth is a continuous process. I don’t claim to have all the answers today, and I don’t think I ever will—because I believe that true success comes from staying open to learning, adapting, and evolving. Every challenge I’ve faced has made me a stronger teacher, a better business owner, and a more resilient person.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Becoming a yoga teacher allowed me to bridge the gap between medical science and holistic health. With my background in nursing, I have a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and the clinical aspects of health. Combining that with the mindfulness, breath work, and movement of yoga, I’ve been able to create a unique approach to wellness that integrates both Western and Eastern practices.
My goal is to educate and empower students, helping them understand that yoga is not a religious practice but a tool for movement, mindfulness, and overall well-being. Through my christian, mobile yoga business, All In Yoga, I offer online classes, one-on-one sessions, and group events, meeting people where they are physically, mentally, and spiritually. I’m known for creating a welcoming, judgment-free space where students feel supported in their journey, and what sets me apart is my ability to integrate faith, science, and a holistic wellness approach into a practice that goes beyond flexibility—focusing on true, whole-person wellness. My classes aren’t just about flexibility or strength—it’s about functional wellness, nervous system regulation, and overall well-being. I incorporate elements of sound bathing, essential oils, and meditation into my yoga practice, creating a multi-sensory experience that promotes wellness on a deeper level.
One of my biggest accomplishments is the impact I’ve made through my teaching. I’ve had the privilege of leading over 511 yoga classes and counting, helping individuals improve their mobility, relieve pain, manage stress, and develop a deeper mind-body connection. Seeing my students walk away feeling empowered and healthier is what drives me every day.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I grew up in a small town in Florida with my mom, dad, and younger sister. We lived on five acres of land, had a giant swimming pool, a plant nursery, and we owned a variety of animals (chickens, goats, horses, and dogs). We hosted a lot of pool parties. My sister and I spent a lot of time outdoors riding our bicycles, using our imagination, and even competed in horse riding and barrel racing competitions. I was a generally shy kid, I think like most people I just wanted to be seen and included.
