Today we’d like to introduce you to Blair Darby.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
The yoga journey began in high school from where I had a high school science teacher who was into yoga and meditation and offered a PE class titled “Yoga hiking”. I began teaching yoga in the early 90s in Santa Monica Venice California, moved to Sedona in 2009 and started the yoga hiking in 2012.
I was inspired at the time of creating the original website. There was much more than Yoga Hike‘s I was excited to offer. When it came to the Yoga Hike’s I was offering much more than what the folks were offering and yet at a lower cost.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Aside from developing ologies in the area It’s been a very smooth road
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Yoga hiKing Tours in Sedona, this can include sound baths, working with crystals, meditation and “the walking chocolate meditation“
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
At first I was gearing the Yoga Hike to the more serious seeker/practitioner, as time moved along I noticed people really just wanted to have a good time. This is a good match for me because of more whimsical style of teaching
