Today we’d like to introduce you to Bethanie Thielke.

Hi Bethanie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My love for photography began in a high school photography class.

Fast forward a handful of years later, after becoming a Mom, I started my business primarily capturing expectant mothers and newborns. As those families grew my business developed into capturing more families, than seniors. After 3 years into my business, a family from church asked me to capture their son’s wedding.

Since then, I have created memories with several hundreds of families and over 100 weddings. I think what makes my business stand out is the comfort my clients feel around me. I strive to authentically + organically capture all of life’s fleeting moments.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t always been easy. I moved my business across the US from California to Indiana 6 years into building my clientele in Sacramento. I had to then basically begin all over again. In Northern Indiana.

Thankfully 9 years later I am thriving all over the US capturing my client’s life stories where ever they may be.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a traveling photographer capturing anything from elopements, weddings, newborns, families, seniors, and brands.

I am a well-versed professional specializing in photography. I am known for being authentically myself, creating a safe and fun atmosphere for my clients to show up as their true selves. I am most proud of being in the creative industry for 15 years.

I have successfully relocated my business across the country and now travel all over for creative work. I think my personality sets me apart from others. I am down to earth, with a loud infectious laugh, and can be a little crazy, but that is what attracts people to me and my work.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I’m not a huge book reader or podcast listener.

I am active on social platforms especially TIKTOK and Instagram. I travel to photography retreats and workshops all over the US to create content with other like-minded individuals learning from each other.
