Check Out Ashley Helms’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Helms.

Hi Ashley, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my journey in fitness after becoming a young mom and realizing how deeply movement supported my mental and emotional health. What began as a personal goal quickly grew into a passion for helping others feel strong, confident, and capable in their own bodies.

Over the years, I became a personal trainer working with many clients and building a community built on trust, consistency, and empowerment. From teaching group classes to creating my own events and training programs, I’ve learned that fitness is about far more than the physical , it’s about resilience, healing, and showing people what they’re truly capable of.I’m proud of the space I’ve created where people feel seen, supported, and pushed to grow.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road definitely hasn’t been smooth. Building my career while being a single mother has come with its own set of challenges—balancing schedules, financial pressures, and making sure I show up fully for my clients while also showing up for my daughter. I’ve had seasons of doubt, burnout, and times where life felt heavier than the weight in the gym.

I’ve navigated starting over, rebuilding my business, managing inconsistent income, and learning how to trust myself again after setbacks. There were moments when I questioned whether I was doing enough or whether I could keep going. But each obstacle shaped me into a stronger coach and a more grounded woman.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My business is built on helping people become stronger — not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. I’m a personal trainer and Pilates instructor who specializes in strength training, intentional movement, and helping clients transform their bodies in a sustainable, confidence-building way.

What sets my brand apart is the experience. I don’t just train clients — I build community. I’ve created a space where people feel supported, safe, motivated, and seen. I bring a mix of high-energy coaching, genuine connection, and real-life understanding as a mom and entrepreneur. My clients know I’m in their corner, holding them accountable, pushing them when they need it, and celebrating every win, no matter how small.
What I want readers to know is that my brand is more than workouts — it’s transformation, connection, and empowerment. Whether you’re a busy parent, a beginner, an athlete, or someone starting over, there’s a place for you here. My goal is to help you become the strongest version of yourself, inside and out.

What does success mean to you?
I define success by who I become along the way not by titles or numbers, but by the strength, growth, and resilience I’ve had to build. Being the woman my daughter can look up to, showing her that you can create a life with purpose even when the road is hard.

As a coach, seeing my clients find pieces of themselves they thought they lost. It’s witnessing their confidence grow, their bodies change, and their mindset shift. It’s knowing I played even a small part in helping someone believe in themselves again. That will always feel like success to me.

Success isn’t perfection. It’s perseverance. It’s heart. It’s choosing to rise over and over, even when the world expects you to fall.

And if I can do all that while staying true to myself, staying present as a mother, and making a real difference in people’s lives — that is success.
