Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Cole.

Hi Ashley, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Thank you so much for this amazing opportunity. The beginnings of Cute & Classy Krispies date back to high school, I made homemade Rice Krispy treats as a side business, and my awesome classmates supported me from day one. Creating rice krispy treats has always served as an outlet. This was especially helpful during COVID. As a registered nurse, I experience stressful situations daily. I decided to dabble with a few treat flavors as a stress reliever, and it quickly blossomed into something beautiful. I officially launched Cute & Classy Krispies in November 2020. I’m so proud of my small business.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been fairly smooth?
Launching Cute & Classy Krispies, LLC, as a small business was no easy feat. One of the challenges I faced was funding my business. A few small business owners would agree that funding a business can sometimes feel like an expensive hobby. Another challenge I face in a routine business is multitasking. I’m a business owner, creator, treat designer, delivery person, packaging extraordinaire, accountant, and marketer. It can be a struggle at times. However, I’ve learned a few tips for better business management. I’ve also known to ask for help. That’s the most important lesson I’ve learned thus far. I’m so grateful for encouraging mentors, friends, and other small business owners who have provided guidance to not only enable me to succeed but also provide support and help when needed.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m also a registered nurse. I’ve been a nurse for over 10 years and specialize in pediatric emergency nursing. I’m known for my love for caring for kiddos. I’ve also had the opportunity to care for patients in the surgical and family medicine setting and our Veteran population. I’m also known for my homemade Rice Krispy treats. I specialize in creating and designing gourmet homemade Rice Krispy treats. I believe that’s what sets me apart. If there is a particular flavor, I do my best to recreate that in a Rice Krispy treat. I’m most proud of the ability to continue expanding my small business. I have the opportunity to incorporate creativity, love, and passion, and I hope that it shows in each treat.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
I don’t believe in situations happening by chance or luck, which applies to my personal and professional life. I consider the positive outcomes a blessing and the adverse effects an opportunity for learning and growth. However, there are also instances where the negative results can be a blessing in disguise. In either outcome, I try to make it a point to focus on the positive aspects to enhance personal growth, professional development, and, ultimately, successful business achievement.

• Pricing varies by packaging (i.e., individually packaged, full pan, quantity, flavor, complexity of the design, and type of Krispie (i.e.) traditional, vegan, gluten-free.
• Flavors are my specialty, but I can also recreate a few designs. I don’t mind a little challenge every now and then.
