Check Out Andrew Camarena’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Camarena

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
During  the summer of 2019 I started selling sunglasses from the front of my home. Those funds would later start building my empire called AGNB Academy (All Gas No Brakes) During the last few years I had a vision to help kids within my community. I was born and raised where opportunity at a young age was limited by local gangs violence. I wanted to be that trailblazer to help empower and motivate kids to be successful. I was once that kid on the outside looking in, and I now have the resources to help the next generation who walk through the door. You hear it and see it daily. It’s on billboards, it’s in high schools and division 1 colleges, it’s all over social media; and it’s just made its way to the professional level. When you see and hear All Gas No Brakes, it was once just a thought of my imagination that manifested into a reality.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The biggest challenge was getting started. I had no clue how or what I was supposed to do. There were thousands of questions I had and that led me down a road full of fear and doubt. I learned you just have to start by taking the first step. Don’t overlook the importance of the process and you will be rewarded. With my father passing away lately It’s been one of the most difficult roads I ever had to endure. He was there to guide me and give me insight and now I’m at a road where I have to do it on my own and remember what he taught me. I tell people all the time this really all started from a dream I had. A dream that soon turned into an imagination, and an imagination I wanted to be able to live. There were many struggles along the way. Countless days I will stay up at night, with little to no sleep, figuring out a way how to make this real. When you don’t know how to get started or when you have no support, you have to do things on an urgent level. There are over 7billion people in the world, and I’m sure someone has the same dream as you, but it all comes down to who’s willing to take the risk and do the work. It took a lot of time for me to get where I’m at. But if I had to give one piece of advice, don’t ever give up. Keep going, no matter how hard the road looks. Giving up is not an option.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I work at an elementary school and this gets my foot in the door to open up my own Academy. I work with kids day in and day out with different ethnicities and different backgrounds. To see the diversity sparks a fire inside me to help them. I’m proud of how far I’ve come. I could’ve thrown in the towel but my heart wouldn’t allow it. What sets me apart from others is my character, my ambition and ability to follow through and my uniqueness for helping others.

What are your plans for the future?
My plans for the future is just continuing to help build and pass down all the knowledge I learned. I built a strong foundation and I’m ready to move forward with my plans. My ultimate goal is to open up an Academy to teach kids what they don’t normally teach in the education system. How to: Sell, Think, Negotiate, Face Failure, Invest Money, Find Your Passion, Start A Business, etc. Right now I am sponsoring local athletes to help with their development. From small club athletes, to high school athletes, to professional athletes. Training is a major factor and believe it or not takes a financial toll on the athlete. What I’m doing is paying a portion from my own pocket. My father was a giver to the world and I’d love to honor his legacy by continuing to carry that torch.
