Hi Alexandria, We are so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I began creating graphic t-shirts before the onset of the Covid pandemic. However, when the pandemic took hold, there was a surge in people producing t-shirts from their homes. Wanting to stand out, I embarked on a different path and taught myself the art of sewing. This led me to craft garments, which I then began selling. As I continued this journey, I realized I could blend my two passions – thrifting and sewing – into fashion distinctive ensembles. Thus, I delved into upcycling, where my current creative journey has brought me.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Certainly not! I’ve encountered challenges in creation, marketing, and finding my specialized area. This journey has required me to delve into self-discovery, grasp the nuances of marketing, refine my sewing skills, and even develop my patterns. Furthermore, it’s quite a task to guide my creative faculties toward producing distinct and appealing items to potential buyers.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might need to become more familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in crafting Sustainable Fashion. My process involves sourcing clothing, sheets, blankets, and fabric-worthy items from thrift stores. These materials serve as the foundation for my creations as I transform them into diverse articles of clothing. My style leans towards the quirky and unconventional, requiring wearers to exude self-assuredness – my pieces tend to attract attention. I’ve garnered recognition primarily for my alien-themed attire, which has earned me the moniker of the “alien lady.” My contribution to environmental sustainability and my ability to make a sartorial statement through genuinely unparalleled ensembles suitable for any occasion distinguishes me.

What’s next?
My ambition knows no bounds, as I aspire to make my mark in high fashion through sustainable practices. My ultimate goal is to establish myself as a prominent designer capable of creating substantial positive change on a global scale. I envision my own success and a platform that empowers fellow emerging designers like me. Through this platform, we can collectively propel more minor talents to the forefront and contribute significantly to the betterment of our beloved Earth.
