Today we’d like to introduce you to Marcos Deltoro.

Marcos, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
Art has been in my life for a long time… as a young boy, I watched my grandfather practice paintings, drawings, and calligraphy. I believe my love for art started right then and there. My curiosity would have me attending Mesa Community College working on a fine arts degree. College opened up my mind to other forms of art. Now I can’t let it go .. I need to learn more and more .. to me, a painting is like a puzzle, putting shapes and colors together to make a bigger better picture. I also use art as a type of meditation.. it calms me, puts me in a different world. Art therapy.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do? Why? And what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I paint with oils, acrylic, and charcoals. I’m inspired by life .. I love drawing people /animals. I also have a background in digital illustration. I love to find pictures that stand out, bring those pictures into photoshop and add my own little twist .. then paint them on canvas… I do it because this world is truly beautiful and I can’t stop drawing what I see…

Do current events, local or global, affect your work and what you are focused on?
I feel art comes and goes like fashion trends .. it has its ups and downs. I feel art is trending up right at this moment in time and I’m hoping to catch that wave.
