Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristin Bonngard.

Kristin, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I have always been one to love design and flowers. Getting a bouquet of roses, daisies, or any flower really was the highlight of any celebration I had – I could not get enough of them! I started out working in the wedding industry and was constantly obsessed with the design of all the flowers. There was one day in particular that I was working an event behind the scenes and I went to the florist and said “wow, I wish this could be my career” and she replied, “it can”, The next day I started my company. I hope I can make another person chase their dream like I have mine.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
My art is through flowers and how they make people feel. When I deliver a bouquet of flowers to a bride, or an arrangement to someone celebrating their anniversary – you can see their joy which is why I chose to be a florist. I have always loved making people happy, and once I knew I could do that through two of my favorite things, flowers, and design, I never looked back. I hope people can see how I try and add a special touch to each design I create; my artwork is me, and I hope that people can see that through my designs.

Artists face many challenges, but what do you feel is the most pressing among them?
I think the biggest challenge is trying to remain unique in a sea full of incredible artists. There is so much talent in the floral industry, and I just feel lucky to be a part of it!
