Today we’d like to introduce you to Kourtney Minsky.

Kourtney, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I have always had a need for a creative outlet and that need intensified once I started working in a high stress environment as a CT Tech at a local hospital. I was constantly bringing my job home with me and I desperately needed a way to leave it at the door and channel all of that energy somewhere else. That is when I fell in love with photography! It became my escape and my “happy place” amongst all the stress of everyday life. My creative outlet has now grown to a thriving business that allows me to be home more with my children and meet so many amazing clients!

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I am a lifestyle family + portrait photographer here in Phoenix and surrounding areas. My goal is to create images that are not only pretty but are full of emotion and memories. I rarely use strict poses during my sessions because that is not real life! I want my clients to be able to look back at their session and remember how they felt in that moment.

How can artists connect with other artists?
JUST SAY HELLO! That is all it takes to build relationships because you’re right, it can be very lonely. I have met so many amazing people through social media. It can be such a great platform for not only growing your business but growing in relationships as well.
