Today we’d like to introduce you to KÏNG J.

KÏNG, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I’ve always had the love for music, but around the time I first met my father, I found the legacy of music was in my family tree this epiphany helped realize that music was destined for me and from there I would pursue my career with passion fuel and fire! My ultimate goal is to change today’s morden sound and bring back the originality and art side of things, meaning music with content and substance not just same old generic styles.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
My inspiration comes from 2pac, I was heavily influenced by the message he was trying to convey while alive. I feel that music it’s self should make people want to be better not destroy minds with content of drugs and alcohol use. The youth is what I’m concerned about the most because there the future and the last thing I want to do is misguide them. The art I create is mixed with passion and pain about real life stories that happened to me.

Have things improved for artists? What should cities do to empower artists?
Today’s artist has become overnight sensations due to social media, some are talented and there’s some that are overrated! I’d say it’s become harder because there’s less talented people over saturating the industry with no development. I don’t know if I have an answer to that because the promoters are very shady in AZ.
