Today we’d like to introduce you to Kim Jackson.

Kim, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
Like any great story, Jaxn Blvd started with the simplest of beginnings. A few words on wood as Christmas present turned into a thriving endeavor to share positivity through art. We aim to create happy, whitty pieces and we hope our positive vibes are infections. We had a unique opportunity arise about 3 years ago when Hobby Lobby reached out to us via social media and asked to start carrying our artwork. Currently you can find our products in stores such as Hobby Lobby, Marshalls, Tjmaxx, and Homegoods as well as Wayfair.com

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
We make a wide variety of items but we are most known for our woods signs. Our intention is to help make a house a home through art and words. The hope is for our clients to walk by the pieces we have made them and giggle at the silly phrase, or smile at the memory it reminds them of, or maybe even cry thinking of the loved one they miss. We are very grateful for the opportunity we have to touch so many through our artwork

What do you know now that you wished you had learned earlier?
Oh I’ve learned so many. One of my biggest lessons I’ve learned is to be you. Stay original and try. What I mean by try is, make mistakes, don’t be afraid to fail, take a leap. The only way to learn is to try. It’s easy to ask fellow artists how, and why and when, but in my opinion and experience the best way to succeed is to try. Failing will be your best teacher. It will push you to do better, and succeed.
