Today we’d like to introduce you to Karan Mehra.

Karan, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I’m from the Midwest. I moved to Arizona to work full time as an engineer. Photography is a pretty recent hobby that I actually took up to learn more about cameras.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I mainly like taking photos on hikes. Pictures of friends, animals, and nature. It’s interesting to see the subject in front of a landscape. I take pictures of in the moment scenes. So I guess I’d like to tell people to enjoy every small moment. I have recently started branching out more to other scenery and styles.

Artists face many challenges, but what do you feel is the most pressing among them?
Not really sure. I haven’t been doing this for long. I do feel like there’s pressure to be unique, which is good. But it could end up making people not do what they actually enjoy.
