Today we’d like to introduce you to Justus Samuel.

Justus, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
18-year vet. I’ll attach my info graphic resume to fill in the blanks. It’s much more efficient.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I am Hip Hop. I eat, sleep, drink and breathe the Culture. Everything I do is for the culture, I worked for 15 years and never saw a dime from the music. I have always had success in business. Yet, music was different. It was never about the money. Now, I feed my family by helping others chase their dreams. It brings me joy. There is no greater joy than the joy of helping someone reach their goals. My art is honest, authentic Hip Hop in its purest form. A reflection of my life, no one else. I have peace in my own skin, comfortable and confident with who I am and what I choose to represent.

Have things improved for artists? What should cities do to empower artists?
It is an incredible time to be alive. We have technology on our side, the people respond to dope content. Create dope content, push the fuck out of that dope content. PUSH PUSH PUSH, when it gets tough. PUSH HARDER.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
Download the app iKon Radio 100% independent, 80% AZ Music. Come out to the events, have a drink. Get to know the community, cheer for your local Super heroes. Come out to the festival and witness history in the moment. Soak up some game and culture. Enjoy a great meal and cold beer with some of the best Hip Hop this state / region have to offer.
