Check out Gulnaz Sabirova’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gulnaz Sabirova.

Gulnaz, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I was born in Russia. How I moved to the US? I love traveling and a few years ago, I was visiting North and Central America and came to Arizona to see The Great Canyon. I was surprised to meet my old friend in Phoenix, whom I knew from the middle school. We found out that we perfectly match to each other, one led to another and now, I have a wonderful husband and awesome son. As my life had changed dramatically, I decided to try something new professionally. I left the profitable career of a dentist for a job I always dreamed of… the photographer. Now, I can express myself through art and creativity.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I love telling stories through pictures, showing people’s beauty, emotions: happiness and sadness, joy and sorrow, to catch the moments and freeze them for my heroes. For photoshoots, I do not usually make any scenario or plan, I do not use the same poses or angles while shooting and always try to add something new, extraordinary in every moment that I freeze. My goal is to create trustworthy relationships with my heroes so that they stop thinking about how they smile or pose during the photoshoot. Instead, I want them to relax, be natural, express their real emotions and remember them.

By the way, I am in a process of creating a brand-new photography style, where people are natural and dynamic, as they are in real life.

I love to meet new people not only for photoshoots but to know their stories and make friends. And I always happy when I get new projects, not because of money but because we can make new magic to happen.

Artists face many challenges, but what do you feel is the most pressing among them?
I think that the biggest challenge nowadays is to get noticed. For that, one should not be afraid of failure, keep working hard on his or her own style and be open for opportunities.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
I mainly use Facebook and Instagram to show work and special projects. You are always welcome to follow me and “like” my photographs. I also open for a collaboration.
