Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianna Johnson.

Brianna, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
Everyone calls me Bri. I’ve been tattooing for three years now. Tattooing is a passion for me. I love every piece I do. Every tattoo has a story, and I love being able to be the one to “write” it. I was born in Mesa, AZ. Nothing’s more humbling then a client loving their tattoo and being able to connect through art.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I do tattoos. Ive been tattooing for three years and counting. I create art that lives forever. I believe its a way to tell a story about your self, to show your creative side, and to honor those and remember ones you love. And for some people just to accessorize. Ive always been into art. At first, I wanted to be a graphic designer, but a friend of mine actually bought me a tattoo kit, and I fell in love with the craft. I hope people take the craft as a form of art and not as a form of vandalism. This day and age, tattoos have changed and came a far way than before, and I hope it progresses. I do all types of styles. I enjoy them all. Whatever my client wants id love to take it on. I am still learning and progressing with my work and myself every day, every tattoo. As it should be. If your too comfortable then your not progressing anymore. All I want to do in life is to be a better version of myself and get far with my career.

Artists face many challenges, but what do you feel is the most pressing among them?
I think the biggest challenge for artists today is being faced with negative energy. Having a positive role and support is a big thing for many artists out there. Not just tattoo artist but any form of art. Sometimes a good push is all we need to progress. If thats from a mother, father, significant other, or coworker, etc.
