Brandy Pierce of Metro Phoenix on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Brandy Pierce and have shared our conversation below.

Brandy, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
The Repurposing Diva. This business was built out of nowhere and zero game plan during the pandemic when I was trying to keep my ex-husbands dream business alive.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Brandy. I’m a menopausal 52 year old single mom, former collegiate two All- American runner who went to Naturopathic Medical school in 1997 before most people knew what an NMD was. I never felt the passion to practice medicine (I did it to impress others) but practiced Sports Medicine for 10 years. I ended up marrying an NCAA collegiate coach, had 2 wonderful boy’s with him, divorced him, then had to figure out what made me happy, so I started selling my own used shit.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My fiancé, Gary…at 49 years old, I finally was heard, seen and understood.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Always follow your intuition. Always do what makes you happy.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
Again, my fiancé, Gary. We joke about he being the 2nd most smartest person in the world. He’s opened my eyes to parenting, politics, fun, remodeling, jokes, food, fads, new vs used, nutrition, napping, make more vs work less.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
She was funny, sarcastic, responsible, on time and put others before her…but was exhausted doing so
