Today we’d like to introduce you to lavanya K V.

lavanya, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I have been drawing and painting since my childhood days. The love for portrait arts began when I was in my Engineering. When I was waiting for three months to join the office, post-college and I felt very bored and started drawing more and more Portraits, which made me so happy. And with the help of Facebook artist I learned new Portrait techniques, bought new materials for my art. By the time I joined the office, I was a decent portrait artist. Later I also started receiving portrait orders from my colleagues and family and it was my second job, I was doing. Thus my Art journey is continuing from 2013, and now it’s my full-time job.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I do more of pencil portraits which are monochrome. I love to do the monochrome portrait with the help of graphite and charcoal and fill the background with lovely colors. Filling the background with colors which gives more joy and I do it with a lot of love and color inspiration from the internet. And my clients first ask me for the background colors. I create Art because I would say its very divine feeling which can’t be explained. Every time I finish my art I use to think what did I make this beautiful piece? And I get tremendous joy doing it.
My ART is all about Love and Joy radiating, and I want the same to be felt by my customers, and that’s why my customers always come back to me every time.
Apart from portraits, I do caricatures, doodle, watercolor, acrylic paintings. For now, I am in love with portraits.

Any advice for aspiring or new artists?
Yes, I would suggest to interact more with the artists and ask for help. There are a lot of artists available online(ex. Facebook) who are ready to respond. That’s the easiest way to learn without spending on art classes or workshops.
