Today we’d like to introduce you to Austin Mills.

Austin, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I’m a father of one amazing little girl and married to my high school sweetheart. I grew up in a poor household but I didn’t relish we were poor until I grew up. my parents were very good at hiding the financial problems from myself and my three brothers. I always wondered why they worked so much and it was because they wanted to give us the world and even if it meant working on Christmas Eve my parents never wanted us to be disappointed. Growing up and seeing what they did for us made me do everything I could to make them feel proud of me. Even if it didn’t make me happy, don’t get me wrong I had a very happy life. through Jr High I gained a lot of weight and because of that I was very anti-social and outcasted from the other kids.

Until high school when I decided to stop caring what others thought of me, I got involved with Sports and the community and was even student body president because I decided to be me, no matter What. After I graduated I had no clue what to do with my life, everyone said college but I still had no clue what to go for. what’s the point of spending thousands of dollars if you have no idea what it’s all going for. but as the naive young adult I was I followed my wife into her profession as a nurse. After becoming a CNA and working for a dilapidated Nursing home for a year I knew I hated my job and this career path so I quit. I decided I need to be happy and do something that makes me feel something more! So, I started my own production company and its growing! My wife Ana and my Daughter Brinley Are the reason I continue to improve my life!

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I’m a Videographer, Photographer and dreamer. I create videos to capture the beauty in subject. The individuality of each picture or frame of the subject is unique. Everyone is the protagonist of their own life and that is what I aim to capture. When I shoot a wedding, I want everyone to know who the main characters are and not just because of the tux and white dress, but because the theme and setting and mood all revolve around these two people who are so in love they want to commit the rest of their lives together. when they watch the film, I create I want them to think at that moment in their lives they are the stars and everything else in the world has just stopped, waiting for the protagonist to come back. every individual wants to be special and my goal is to make them believe that they are. my daughter and wife inspire me every day to follow my passion.

They support me and keep me in line. Sometimes my own Ambitions are too far from reality and they help me revise I need to take baby steps and not to leap without looking. I hope when people look at my work they see joy and love, and everything good in the world because we only have one life and no matter what happens when we die, don’t you want to say I had a good life?

In your view, what is the biggest issue artists have to deal with?
Creating is so easy today which is the best and worst thing for creators. it’s the best in the sense that we see so many ideas and perspectives. on the other hand, a creator with talent and has worked hard can be drowned by those who create part time. finding a voice is easy but giving it a face, everyone can see is hard.
