Art & Life with Andre Brown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andre Brown.

Andre, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
The first time I thought about being a photographer was when I found @gunnerstahl.us’s profile on Instagram, and I knew immediately I wanted to take pictures just like that, but there was one problem, I didn’t have any money to buy a camera. So what did I do, I took the lunch money my mom gave me every two weeks and I saved it up for about 5-6 months and got my friend to sell me a camera, and two days later I had my first “photoshoot” with my friends in David’s living room, ever since then I’ve just been trying to get my name out there and get clients.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I try and make photos that I think are just cool to look at, the inspiration for me is all the people whose style is similar to mine and have made a living for themselves, I don’t really know what I want people to take away from my photos, I just hope people like them and remember them.

In your view, what is the biggest issue artists have to deal with?
I think one of the biggest challenges is getting exposure, and trying to make your art unique when there are so many other people doing the exact same thing you’re trying to do.

What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
You can see my work on my Instagram page @andrebphotographyy and support me by booking photo shoots 🙂
