We’re looking forward to introducing you to Taylor . Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Taylor , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I started volunteering at the Arizona Humane Society this year and its been the highlight of my month since I started! I try to go in 2-4 times a month and I always look forward to all the sweet babies I get to spend time with.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I run a page online called @arizona.datenight where we share different local Arizona businesses and things to do! We share coffee shops, restaurants, things to do, and even different staycations around the valley in hopes to inspire your next date night!
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
My dad has been a huge influence on me in my work life and relationship with myself as a business owner. He first helped me open a coffee trailer in my early 20s, speaking a lot of faith into me which gave me alot of confidence in myself at an early age. He was a CFO for a very successful company for many years, and I have always looked up to him and his knowledge of business! One of my favorite things he taught me is to always say yes and figure it out later, because you never know when you will get your next opportunity. That belief alone has landed me alot of opportunities and I have always figured it out along the way!
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
I have endured alot of heartache and challenges throughout my 20s, and although at the time I wished I never went through it — I am now thankful for it. I learned the most valuable lesson of how strong I am, and that if you keep weathering any storm you eventually get through it. The more I pushed myself, the more I learned I was capable of.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
I believe my friends would say my relationships matter most to me. I am really close with my family, and love to cultivate really deep friendships around me as well.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel the most at peace in my home with my family. I have worked hard to create a calm space to come home to, and love to spend time with my dogs and husband at home!
