We recently had the chance to connect with Shannon Dia and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Shannon, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Outside of work? Creating my Holloween display . My neighbors enjoy it as much as I do and it brings amusement . I’m hoping to have time to put up a selfie station this year in my yard for everyone in the neighborhood.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi Im Shannon . I have been in the entertainment industry since 2004. It evolved from photography to filmography. Currently I’m attempting to rise into the Indie Cinema universe as a Director of Photography.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I have always been me. There is nothing more to say about that. I encourage others to do the same. Find your tribe and yourself in the process and realize no one is prefect not matter what they have. We all are human.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
How stubborn I am about finding solutions.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Making sure everyone around me is happy and we share great times.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
Good question. That’s for them to decide. Hopefully they will be mentioning how kind I was and how I inspired people in their own projects and dreams.
