An Inspired Chat with Sara Waterman of Scottsdale

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Sara Waterman. Check out our conversation below.

Sara, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: When was the last time you felt true joy?
The first Rufus Du Sol Concert – It was pure magic, 100% in the present moment which may be the definition of pure joy.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi my name is Sara Waterman, I am a North Scottsdale based photographer. In business for 15 years this is my full time job. I love to photograph families, events, headshots, weddings and corporate photography. I’m high energy, and will command a room making your experience so smooth and efficient.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
My first job, it was a sales job. I learned the smarter, harder and more efficient I worked the more money I made. It’s that simple.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
Going thru hard things is an incredible super power. Understand “The Obstacle is the Way” Read Ryan Holiday’s. book “The Obstacle is the way” and it will change your life.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, I wear my heart on my sleeve. I can’t keep a secret if my life depended on it. Well, that’s not true – I bet I could if my life depended on it…. but I won’t like it.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What will you regret not doing?
Love. Love hard, love true, love is life.
