We recently had the chance to connect with Karmello Drip and have shared our conversation below.

Karmello , really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
Something that takes me away is building the brand. Whether its making music, thinking of the next move or learning a new skill/trade. I can get lost doing it all being creative and having fun with it. Always thinking of the goal and raising the bar keeps me focused on the mission. Sticking to the plan and seeing the results kick in is a feeling of satisfaction I can’t get with anything else. Its exciting, its upsetting, crazy, has its ups and downs but its the progress! I enjoy the ride Living in the moment during the waiting game we cant control. Everytime we come up I see a little bit more an its beautiful, a brighter future. Instead hold on tight and keep going because before I know it the experience is over then im wondering where the time went.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Its been awhile but im still that crazy guy from Maryvale with ambition doing what i can to get it. Shoutout our partners need some high quality productions? Need a car? Working on hit project distribution/record/project? We got you covered. Probably your craziest guest hahah but you love me. Getting closer and closer to my goals by the year. Its been big expectations from the jump but didn’t expect the extra drama to stall up motion. Still pushing “DirtySubliminalStonAz Entertainment” as I was a years ago. Goals for new entertainment services building a agency music, marketing, clothing etc. After seeing good progress from our new partner Jaywan I decided to expand the brand services. As you know im still an artist and as you might have heard I still see weird things in the sky which gave me a feeling to work with him. This is the dark reality without a bright future, which reminded me why I created the brand to work towards goals together. A headquarters to meet up as we keep growing on are paths. The higher up we go in life the more people will fall off contact especially if they move location/move wrong, it gets difficult. But we know where we are going to be to stay connected even when we expand or get lost. It all comes together in the end. Because the next thing I knew my post started going viral so I knew it was real and on the right path. Stuff you see only in a movie totally not scripted, I was down and out almost wanting to quit because I was in a dark place, humiliated, embarrassed and depressed. Everything was going bad I was losing people left and right getting betrayed. Clients moving away it was a true battle mentally and on my life almost getting assassinated. But god is an interesting thing to have and helped keep me in the game that separates the brand from the others. The prestige ,high quality, raw, relentless spirit, thats in your face whether getting 2 views one day or a million the next. Skills and creativity with a hunger/desire to not die knowing the possibilities. The cool refreshing services that help shine light on others looking for a way that could use the creative direction/strategy. Finding others with similar interest that supported me from the dirt that seen the brand ressurect from the ashes into a fire you can’t put out, Its hot it coming and great minds think alike. Shoutout my boy manny still doing his thing in atl he was a partner starting out helping and proud to still do business. Everything I’ve said before is coming bigger and better. Okay, so here’s a deep one: What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Id say around the time of being an annoying teen about to graduate not knowing what the future was for me. That put the pressure on me to open my eyes, point of views, look into depth about what i want to do. So when i was depressed starting to look into a purpose, beliefs and the future of my life, is when i met my reality. Weirdly at a time of disbelief with what was real or not helped me see life from a different point of view. That energy came with God, it came with going thru pain, years of suffering in silence, problems at home that made me act out in public to force me to focus for a brighter day. Made me want to learn about spirituality, seeing differences in the world knowing everyone is looking for something to believe, people are a lot more similar. So I shouldn’t be afraid of the unknown or differences when I know what i want and have a feeling that brings me peace of mind to my world.

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
Definitely when I discovered a relationship with music. Finding an outlet to turn my negative energy into something positive to relax my mind is a feeling I grew to love. Being creative with smoking joints was just a cherry on top of the hustle I love the trill. When highschool came to a end, I saw it as more of a purpose not just to pass the time or escape my problems. This is what I wanted to do for a living so I had to figure out a way to turn it into something positive like a dispensary. If im already dreaming big trying to build a agency, making hits than that doesn’t sound to crazy. Not to far off from where the sidewalk ends in my world living on the edge. Getting pass my trauma to speak the lyrics was therapeutic for me but hurtful for the ears. Overtime getting control of myself and emotions helped with delivery. Along with wanting to channel it up if needed to for the art to help keep the passion burning. So everything something bad happens i use it to my advantage or know something better is about to come my way.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
You have to pay to play aka invest in yourself. Noone is going to just give you stuff for free off the jump unless you have a undeniable unique talent. There’s plenty of other gifted, talent hardworking people but because their mindset isn’t thinking about the business side. They feel entitled or obligated for services. Assuming your going to get nonstop support is unrealistic. Thinking everyone will love it doesn’t cross most peoples mind. Its not a Disney movie just because you went viral a couple times. You have to have a proven resume or track record of poppin off more often then the average artist nowadays. So many famous people I’ve never heard off leading to the illusion of it being easier said then done. If you don’t know your truth or have your whole craft and business plan down, theirs huge risk of humiliation that affects your life. Not everyone will last if they dont understand this, it helps build your character.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
What it takes to reach your dreams passion,ambition,staying determined, love of the game. Who what where how to get something for your business. Building leverage gaining trust and being a good person for the job. Making the right plays smart moves with high quality talent worked on over years.
