We recently had the chance to connect with Angel Marie and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Angel Marie, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Who are you learning from right now?
Mature women in my life. There are a few. They provide well lived perspectives, that only time and varied experience can bring. Not only do they bring tremendous value and wisdom, but they also come with compassion, gentleness, and genuine care.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Angel Marie, founder of Eco Angels, a boutique cleaning company based in Tempe, Arizona. I started Eco Angels nearly a decade ago with a simple but powerful intention: to bring care, consciousness, and integrity into the spaces we clean. We specialize in natural, non-toxic cleaning methods and deeply believe in the energy of a space — how it can affect our well-being, clarity, and even our creativity.
What makes Eco Angels unique isn’t just our eco-friendly products or customized service — it’s the heart behind everything we do. We treat cleaning as a form of sacred care, where every wipe, vacuum, or polish is an extension of love and presence.
My journey hasn’t been linear. I’ve overcome health challenges, personal heartbreak, and the rollercoaster of entrepreneurship — but through it all, I’ve learned that the most lasting impact comes from staying true to your values, even when it’s hard.
Right now, I’m expanding Eco Angels to offer deeper services — not just cleaning homes, but helping restore the energy within them. I’m passionate about blending holistic practices into the business, and also dreaming about mentoring others who want to create conscious businesses of their own.
At the end of the day, Eco Angels isn’t just about clean spaces — it’s about clear minds, open hearts, and building something beautiful and real in a world that desperately needs it.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
What breaks the bonds between us is not just hate –
but the quiet seed of ignorance it grows from.
A lack of understanding, of listening, of seeing one another clearly.
We forget each other’s humanity,
and in that forgetting, we fracture.
But love –
love is the spiritual glue.
It’s the force that holds the unseen threads together.
Not always soft, not always simple,
but always present in its pure form –
the choice to care, to witness, to show up.
Every story is woven with shadows and light,
but love is the golden current beneath it all-
the one thing that restores what’s been broken,
if we open to its grace.
Is there something you miss that no one else knows about?
Yes – I deeply miss the gentle, loving spirit of the islands I grew up in.
There’s a kind of warmth in Hawai‘i that’s hard to explain unless you’ve lived it –
an ease, a softness, a natural way of sharing and showing up for each other without pretense.
It’s the aloha spirit – not just a word, but a way of being.
That laid-back, open-hearted nature isn’t something I always feel here on the mainland.
People move faster, guard more, smile less.
And sometimes, I find myself aching for that island rhythm –
where strangers felt like aunties, where time slowed down,
and love was something quietly woven into the everyday.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would probably say I care a lot about integrity, justice, and being loving. Justice, to me, is about caring enough to want things to be fair and balanced for everyone. I feel passionate about accountability because I believe it helps restore what’s good for the whole. And love is always at the core of what matters to me – not just the warm, fuzzy kind, but the kind that shows up, speaks truth, and genuinely cares.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
If I let go of my name, my role, and everything I own, what’s left is the real me – playful, curious, full of wonder. The version of myself that still laughs loud, loves nature deeply, and finds magic in simple things. That childlike spark never left – it just waits for quiet moments to come out and dance.
