Finding His Flow: Nicolas Rodgers Steps Into His Next Chapter at Bespoke Salon

For Nicolas Rodgers, joining Bespoke Salon marks a turning point—one that’s reignited his passion and sharpened his craft. Inspired by the work of Jay Wesley Olson and surrounded by a culture of growth and mentorship, Rodgers is embracing new techniques while building his clientele with intention. Grounded in both ambition and family, this next chapter is about more than career—it’s about purpose, progress, and showing up fully in every role he plays.

Nicolas, congratulations on joining Bespoke Salon. What made this opportunity stand out as the place you’ve always wanted to work?
Thank you. The Bespoke Salon is known for beautiful, high-quality work from top-notch stylists. I’ve always admired the salon and its artists. Coming up in the industry, I used to watch the owner, Jay Wesley Olson, and his crew on Instagram and at hair shows, and I always thought it would be sick to work somewhere like Bespoke—to be around people who are just absolutely killing it. I was introduced to Jay through a close friend at the salon, Ashley Paige, and when the opportunity came up to join the team, I was all over it.

You mentioned reigniting your passion for hair since starting there. What has changed or clicked for you in this new environment?
Once I joined the salon and got a closer look at how everyone was working and the level of quality being produced, I was immediately inspired. It pushed me to start learning new techniques and soak up as much knowledge as possible from the people around me. I’m lucky to be surrounded by a lot of talented, genuine people who are willing to share what they know and help me grow into a better stylist.

You’re currently investing in classes and mentorship. What new skills or techniques are you most excited to develop, especially in commercial hair?
Honestly, anything I can get my hands on—but lately I’ve been really focused on perfecting my highlight and balayage work.

Building a new client base can be both exciting and challenging. What strategies are you using to grow your clientele in this next chapter?
I’ve always believed in the power of word of mouth, but I’m also stepping up my social media game and putting more energy into that. I’m big on manifesting, too. I think it’s important for me to lean into things that may have held me back in the past when it comes to hair and really push through those limits.

Alongside your career growth, you’re also balancing life as a husband and father of three. How has that perspective shaped your goals and approach to your work?
For me, they go hand-in-hand. Everything I do day-to-day is with my family in mind. Every goal I set in my career is for the best interest of my family, myself, and my clients.
