Hi Muge, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Born and raised in Turkey (Muge Jones). College education in Turkey and Europe as an English Major. Moved to Japan and started my marketing career as a magazine copywriter/editor in my early twenties. I was deeply inspired by what SEO and Google Ads can do for businesses. I went to school to become the best SEO expert but I learned the most when I did work for actual clients at agencies and at Google as a Google rep where I helped thousands of businesses increase their Google conversions.
My entrepreneurship journey began when I was working in corporate chasing high commissions so I could buy red bottoms and designer bags only to realize those things weren’t what would give my life any meaning. I loved what I did for a living–digital advertising. I was in charge of managing multi million dollar Google Ads campaigns for big brands everyone in the world knows. As I made these big brands even more money with Google advertising, I lost interest in making one rich person even richer and wanted to have a bigger impact in the world. I quit my corporate job and founded Max Leads Digital Marketing Agency in Arizona that solely focuses on growing SMBs with organic and paid advertising. Now I also make small and local Arizona businesses visible on AI search which is something you can’t overlook if you want your business to be mentioned by AI tools. We currently manage search engine and social media marketing for lawyers, doctors and home service businesses in Arizona. We love our small businesses.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest struggle is being a woman in a male dominated space, but numbers speak louder that assumptions so that has never become an issue. Our retention rate is almost 100% which is unheard of in most marketing agencies.
