Hi Sharelle, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started photography over 10 years ago with a simple love for capturing people and meaningful moments. What began as a passion gradually grew into a business as more clients trusted me to document their milestones , engagements, and special events.
Over the years, I’ve worked hard to refine my craft, build genuine connections with my clients, and create images that feel authentic and timeless. Today, I am the owner of Shot By Sade Photography, serving clients throughout Arizona and beyond. I’m grateful for every opportunity to tell stories through my lens and help people preserve memories they’ll cherish for years to come.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve faced challenges such as building a client base, standing out in a competitive industry, and balancing the creative side of photography with the business side. There were seasons when bookings were slow and moments when I questioned whether I was on the right path.
What kept me going was my passion for photography and my commitment to continually improving my craft. Every challenge taught me something valuable, and those experiences helped shape both my business and who I am as a photographer today.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am the owner and photographer behind Shot By Sade Photography. I specialize in engagements, maternity, and portrait photography, with a focus on creating timeless, authentic images that tell a story. My style blends natural moments with gentle posing to help clients feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera.
What I’m most proud of is the trust my clients place in me to capture some of the most important moments of their lives. I strive to create an experience that is professional, stress-free, and enjoyable from start to finish.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect with people and capture genuine emotion. Anyone can take a photo, but my goal is to create images that make my clients feel something every time they look back at them.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is that success doesn’t happen overnight. Building a business takes patience, consistency, and a willingness to keep going even when progress feels slow. I’ve learned that every experience, both the wins and the challenges plays a role in helping you grow.
I’ve also learned the importance of staying true to your vision and focusing on serving people well. When you genuinely care about your clients and the experience you provide, the results often speak for themselves.
