Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Howard.
Hi Brandon, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Music has always run in my bloodline—it’s something deeper than a passion, it’s part of who I am. From an early age, I felt pulled toward sound, rhythm, and expression, knowing that music would eventually shape my path.
I took a step toward that path by enrolling in school for live sound reinforcement. While I gained valuable technical insight during that year, I quickly realized that the classroom couldn’t replicate the kind of growth I was getting from real-world experience. I made the decision to step away and bet on myself, trusting that hands-on learning and immersion in the scene would take me further.
That decision paid off. My ability to connect with people and build genuine relationships became one of my biggest assets. Networking wasn’t just about shaking hands—it was about understanding people, recognizing opportunities, and bringing the right energy into every room I stepped into. That skill helped me gain traction quickly and establish myself within the music scene.
As things progressed, I became intentional about turning my passion into a structured business. I made it a goal to establish my music career as an LLC, taking it seriously alongside my business partners. This shift allowed me to move with purpose, treating every project and collaboration as a step toward long-term growth.
I’ve also explored different avenues within the industry, including sync placements, always looking for new ways to expand my reach and get my sound into different spaces. At the core of everything I do is my ability to bring the right people together—connecting creatives, professionals, and opportunities in a way that creates momentum.
Today, I continue to share my journey through interviews and podcasts, using my experiences to help others navigate their own paths. I believe in giving back knowledge, showing what’s possible, and helping others get one step closer to their goals—just like I continue to do with mine.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like any real journey, mine hasn’t always been smooth. There have been moments where creativity didn’t come easy—times of writer’s block where ideas felt stuck and nothing seemed to flow the way I wanted it to. On top of that, stepping into new roles meant constantly learning new skills, from the technical side of music to the business side of the industry. Growth didn’t happen overnight, and there were plenty of moments that tested my patience and discipline.
Another challenge came from the business side of things. Not every relationship aligned the way I envisioned, and at times, business dynamics got in the way of what should’ve been a natural creative process. Instead of letting the music evolve organically, certain situations introduced pressure and complications that disrupted the flow.
But those experiences taught me just as much as the wins. I learned how to push through creative blocks, adapt to new challenges, and become more intentional about who I work with. It helped me understand the importance of protecting the creative space while still building something sustainable on the business side.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a beat maker and producer who focuses on bringing an artist’s vision to life—especially the ideas they can hear in their head but can’t always fully translate. I take the time to understand their sound, their influences, and the emotion behind what they’re trying to create, then shape the production around that. It’s not just about making beats; it’s about turning raw ideas into something real and polished.
I also have a strong instinct for collaboration. I know how to get the right people in the right room—whether that’s artists, writers, or engineers—to create the best possible outcome. The energy and chemistry of a session matter, and I make sure that environment brings out the best in everyone involved.
What really separates me from others is my attention to detail. I’m not chasing quantity—I’m focused on quality. Every sound, every layer, every transition is intentional. I care about how the final product feels just as much as how it sounds, and I’m willing to put in the extra time to make sure it’s right.
What matters most to you? Why?
Authenticity.
Authenticity is everything in the music industry because people don’t just connect to sound—they connect to truth. Listeners can feel when something is real versus when it’s forced or manufactured. The artists who last are the ones who are unapologetically themselves, because that honesty builds trust and emotional connection with their audience.
