Hi Dana , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Dr. Dana Day, AU.D., CCC-A
Dr. Day received her bachelors’ degree in communication disorders and her MBA from Arizona State University and Doctorate in Audiology from Arizona School for Health Sciences, now A.T. Still University. Dr. Day has taught both vestibular classes and CAPD classes at Arizona State University and A.T. Still University. Dr. Day was instrumental in the development, opening, and running of the Barrow Balance Center at Barrow Neurological Institute/St. Joseph’s Hospital & Medical Center taking the hospital-based program private in 2003 to provide a level of care to the patient that goes beyond the visit itself. She is a Board-Certified Audiologist with the American Speech Language Hearing Association. Dr. Day is a fellow with the American Academy of Doctors of Audiology and holds her license in Audiology from the State if Arizona. Dr. Day is recognized for her skills in the diagnosis and treatment of dizziness, vertigo, and balance disorders. She is also recognized for her outstanding work in Central Auditory Processing Disorder diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Day is committed to providing the highest quality of care that includes appropriate diagnosis and treatment that will make a difference in the lives of her patients.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
The most meaningful mentoring and networking has come from building real relationships over time, not formal arrangements.
What’s worked well is staying connected consistently, leading with value where I can, and focusing on collaboration rather than just “networking.” A lot of the best guidance I’ve received has come informally through people I’ve worked closely with.
I also think it helps to stay present in spaces where your peers are already operating — relationships tend to develop naturally from that.
