Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Brody.
Hi Jason, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Started working for the old owner Nick when I was 16 years old as an expo and Busser. Climbed the ladder (served, bartended, managed) until I decided to buy him out in October of 2022. Once I kept the business running and profitable through the Covid era (under my protocols and abbreviated business model), I knew it was my time to make a move! I kept it operating under the old name “Nick’s” for a little over a year until I rebranded it to “BRODY’S ITALIAN” with major upgrades in April of 2024.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Extremely smooth. Better than I could have ever imagined. Confidence in your brand, hard work, dedication, customer service skills, and knowing how to take care of a loyal staff go a very long way!
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about BRODY’S ITALIAN ?
We are a modern neighborhood Italian restaurant that provides quality and consistency! People always joke that we’re like a “Cheers” establishment. So many great regulars who always support us and come to have a great meal, great wine and cocktails, and spend time with familiar faces. For quality and portion sizes, we are hard to beat around town! We specialize in our homemade, pasts, sauces, and creative modern ways to prepare Italian classics, focusing on high end ingredients and preparation style. We are known for our Chicken Parmesan which is un-breaded. A favorite of ours since day 1! Brand wise I’m proud to offer an amazing experience and meal from start to finish under my name! We are just getting started, I am planning to expand my brand in the coming years!
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
How to attract and retain customers. Once they’re in the door, if you don’t find a way to get them coming back, you will never be successful in this industry!
