Today we’d like to introduce you to Barbara Robinson.
Hi Barbara, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
In 2024, after 16 years as a Production Pipeline Manager in Mortgage, I left and have never looked back.
I started my passion business, Art in a Moment, LLC. I made my paintings and drawings into prints and even a signature product called KanvaKards. Framed original pieces of art on canvas, in a 4×6 size. I began adding artists to my gallery online as well and we hit the wall of how to get our art in front of the world. We built our online presence but still needed more.
I had an idea, what if I created a cleaning business and we offered every cleaning a “Welcome Home” gift, our art/KanvaKards. That would get our art in front of every home owner/renter we service. And BeeClean Pro Services was born 8 months later in May of 2025.
I joined as many local and free small business networks I could. I swallowed my fear of public speaking and very poorly at first started talking about my little cleaning business. As I built it I also built a new me. I didn’t know this would force me to confront every bad thought and feeling I knew and didn’t know I had of myself. I didn’t know this would make me the woman it has made me today. And I didn’t know I would be so grateful for every hurtle, fear and bad choice I concurred along the way.
So not only would the art/welcome home gifts make us stand out but I needed to minimize my footprint on this planet too. So we are Eco Friendly, using plant based products and currently in the process of a doing our very own plant based product line.
I currently use this product line in my cleanings and will have them available for purchase for everyone, even when we aren’t there.
BeeClean Pro Services has become my legacy business so that one day I can hand it down and focus solely on my passion of building a unique and local art community that will always supply BeeClean Pro its welcome home gifts. And hopefully other industries as well.
Looking into the future I see many more mistakes and many more obstacles to overcome. I see a business that’s also building a community and connection among strangers and I want to be apart of that for the rest of my life.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it’s been very rough. I’ve made a lot of mistakes. I even started this business thinking I would only be doing move out move-in and turnover cleanings now I barely do those and I do more house cleaning and housekeeping.
I’ve joined many many networking groups, community groups, trying to find a community and like-minded individuals with the same goals as me
It’s been a lot of trial and error but I have made tremendous strides and am grateful to make more every day.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
From my artwork to my cleaning business, I get my inspiration from life. Each piece of art represents something that’s going on in my life or has or someone I know or just the climate of the world.. every home gets cleaned the way my grandma taught me to Clean, mixed in with a little common sense and research. But I also live in a home that gets dirty and understand the value of a clean home, so I want to leave peoples homes feeling good and clean and stress-free.
I love that I can provide a piece of art that can provoke some emotion in someone. Or leave a home clean provoking a stress-free feeling.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Not everyone is a client and that’s OK. It doesn’t mean I’m bad and it doesn’t mean they’re bad. Just means it isn’t a fit, that might’ve been the biggest lesson I learned.
