Story & Lesson Highlights with Sybil Imel of Chandler

We recently had the chance to connect with Sybil Imel and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Sybil, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Lately, I’ve been reflecting on what’s bringing me joy outside of work — and it’s the creative energy that comes from building things that matter. There’s something special about turning ideas into experiences that not only look beautiful but create connection and impact.

From planning our themed Content Ready Sessions to weaving in community drives that give back, like supporting the Arizona Diaper Bank, I’m reminded how fulfilling it is when creativity meets purpose. It’s about more than photos and videos — it’s about people, stories, and the ripple effect we create together.

That spark of inspiration, collaboration, and contribution… that’s what’s lighting me up lately.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Sybil Imel, a health and wellness entrepreneur, confidence coach, and creator of the Fit, Fearless & Fun community — where women (especially those of us 40 and beyond!) learn to look and feel their best and show up like they mean it.

Through my Isagenix Art of Living business, I help women simplify healthy living, age with grace, and build wealth and confidence through social selling. My passion lies in helping women rediscover their energy, glow, and purpose — whether that’s through nutrition, mindset, or mastering their online brand.

One of my favorite projects right now is Content Ready Sessions — collaborative, high-energy days where entrepreneurs and creators come together to capture professional photos, videos, and reels that elevate their online presence. Each session has a unique theme and is hosted in beautiful spaces, often tied to a community cause — like our recent partnership with the Arizona Diaper Bank. These days are part photoshoot, part mastermind, and part confidence boost! It’s incredible to watch people light up in front of the camera and walk away not just with fresh content, but with new friendships, inspiration, and momentum for their brand.

What makes all of this special to me is the way creativity, confidence, and community intertwine. Whether it’s through wellness coaching, beauty, nutrition, or business mentorship, I love helping women shine brighter in every area of their lives.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
I was raised by two artists who both had their masters and taught at various universities so as a child, I truly believed that in order to be successful and have purpose, I had to earn a college degree. That belief was so deeply ingrained — that a formal education was the only path to meaning, fulfillment, and respect.

But life has a beautiful way of teaching us otherwise. Over the years, I’ve learned that purpose isn’t found in a diploma — it’s discovered in passion, perseverance, and people. My success didn’t come from a classroom; it came from saying yes to growth, from helping others feel confident in their skin, and from building a business that empowers women to live well, age beautifully, and create freedom on their own terms.

Now, I see success as something you define for yourself. It’s not about titles or degrees — it’s about impact. It’s about showing up, doing what you love, and helping others along the way.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self, it would be this:
“You don’t have to have it all figured out — just keep showing up with a passionate heart.”

I’d remind her that the path doesn’t have to be perfect to be purposeful. Every twist, turn, and detour is part of becoming who you’re meant to be. The setbacks? They’ll teach you strength. The uncertainty? It’ll shape your courage. And one day, you’ll look back and realize that every step — even the unsure ones — were leading you toward a life filled with meaning, impact, and joy.

You are enough. You always were!

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
For a long time, I thought the “public version” of me had to be perfectly polished — the one who always had it together, showed up smiling, and made things look effortless. But over the years, I’ve learned that the real magic happens when the public version and the private version start to blend.

I always say that “done is better than perfect” So, the truth is, what you see online — the coach, the leader, the woman who loves health, beauty, and helping others grow — is me, But it’s also the me who’s learned through failure, who sometimes doubts herself, and who keeps choosing courage anyway.

I think the goal isn’t to be different online — it’s to be honest and authentic. To let people see not just the highlight reel, but the heart behind it. Because authenticity connects us far more deeply than perfection ever will.

So yes — the public version of me is the real me… just the version that’s learned to stand a little taller, shine a little brighter, and share her story so others know they can too.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
When I’m gone, I hope people remember me as someone who brought light and encouragement into their lives. Someone who inspired them to take chances, embrace their strengths, and live boldly.

I hope they say I cared deeply, led with authenticity, and made the people around me feel seen, valued, and capable of more than they imagined.

I hope the story isn’t just about achievements or milestones, but about the way I made a difference — the small moments of kindness, the encouragement offered, and the belief I had in others even when they doubted themselves.

Ultimately, I hope they remember me as someone who helped others step into their best selves and live a life full of purpose and joy.
