Meet Charles And Candice Mintz of IAC Lyfestyle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Charles And Candice Mintz

Hi Charles and Candice, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
The I.A.C name dates back to 2006 as a group of friends who enjoyed living the good life and partying. It was short lived as over time we all went our separate ways, but the love for community and being tight knit still lived in me. What once stood for Intense Alcohol Consumers, with a saying of, “we all we got”, IAC now stands for Intelligence And Confidence, and embodies growth and change. As someone who struggled with alcohol addiction, finding sobriety was instrumental in moving the brand from something derogatory and meaningless to something that empowers people to take back their life. During my journey I wanted to create something that people from all walks of life could resonate with and find some belief within themselves to make necessary changes in order to reach the next level in life. I am now going on 5 years sober from alcohol and have continued to understand that change is possible if you are willing to change. Our mantra is “Adapt and Overcome”, as we believe that is key to progressing in life. We started off as an activewear brand given my personal training background and have since transitioned into streetwear as well. We base everything around the IAC name with my wife’s makeup and nail business also carrying the IAC name- IAC Beauty. We recently relocated back to the Phoenix area and put things on hold during the moving period, but are back in the game and looking forward to what is to come.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been bumpy hahaha. As with any journey in life involving growth, things won’t always go as smooth as planned. The same can be said for business. Every L taken is always a lesson; from losing relationships (both personal and business) money on product, etc., everything has been taken in stride and noted when moving on to the next project.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about IAC Lyfestyle?
The IAC Lyfestyle brand encompasses a few different areas. We have our main focus which is the apparel brand, and I recently finished audio engineering school so I am moving into that area of work as well. Being a music artist myself I was fascinated with that process and am forever a student on the engineering side. My wife Candice has her business, IAC Beauty in which she focuses on makeup and nails, particularly gel X and press ons. We are most proud brand wise, that we are building something that everyone can relate to, something that doesn’t single out a specific demographic but welcomes all who are on the path of growth and change. We have some new apparel drops scheduled for 2025, and Candice is always welcoming new clients to see her for their makeup and nail needs. I also do online personal training on the side, should someone inquire about those services.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
The qualities we feel that have been most important to our success have been transparency and being authentic in our dealings with consumers as well as other business owners and clients. Building relationships has been crucial and we feel that is one of the most important pieces in being able to continue to move forward.
