Hi Tricia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hello!
My story started 7 years ago when we started our goat farm with one special goat, Mason. With him being by himself we had to add girls to the herd. From this, we were getting a lot of goat’s milk, and with my skin sensitivities, I researched goat milk soaps and learned from watching YouTube videos how to make it. After trial and error and using my family and myself as guinea pigs. lol. I finally came up with the perfect formula that worked for my skin issues along with my family and friends that I needed to share with the community.
I then created my business, Two Five Farm (which is named after our children, 2 girls, and 5 boys), started with a website, and eventually moved to Farmer Markets. This allowed me to get my name and products out the community to have them try and see how it can improve their skin. The reviews started coming in, and all I can say is my heart is full. I love that others love my products, and not just that, it is helping them with any skin sensitivities or just overall benefiting their skin with nutrients that come from my goat’s milk.
A month ago, I left the medical field to pursue my business full-time. This was the best decision I made. I couldn’t be happier with the growth of our products and our customers. I appreciate them every day and love that they love my goat milk skin care products.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I wouldn’t say it that it has been a smooth road! I was working full time, had to attend to the farm full time and ran my business full time as well by attending farmers’ markets on the weekends. So, I would definitely struggle to keep up with products at times. I tried time management, but we all know there is never enough time in the day. lol. Well, in my world, at least.
So, as I mentioned, I left my full-time job to pursue my goat milk skincare business. This allows me to focus all my attention on my farm and skin care products. Wouldn’t change this decision for the world?
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I focus on helping other people with any skin issues or benefiting skin health by providing my goat milk soap and skin care products. Over the past 5 years, we are known that with my goat milk soaps are being loved by all our customers, even ones that were skeptical at first. Just to hear the amazement after their first use is enough to keep me going.
I am most proud that I created something that isn’t just all-natural but amazing overall. As I mentioned, it the customer’s reviews/testimonials that keep me going.
I think what sets me apart from others is my warm heart, dedication to my products, listening, and being involved with my customers. Because if it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be here today.
What do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is being with my family, grandbabies, my goats (farm), my customers, and my business. I never take anything for granted, so being able to spend time with the family is very special to me, and being around our grandbabies is breathtaking. Watching them bloom into their unique personalities is priceless.
As for my farm (my goats) I love being able to spend time with them as well. They are just like humans with different personalities that rely on me to take care of them. They are definitely spoiled and loved for.
My customers, I am so very appreciative of them! They love us and our products, and that is what makes me happy!
