Today we’d like to introduce you to Te’ne’Ni Mason
Hi Te’ne’Ni, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Te’ne’Ni Mason, I am a Blessed Highly Favored three times Best-Selling Author, Creative Writing and Top Artist nominated and honored listee and awards holder from Marquis Who’s Who. Also, I am a Poet, I am a Certified Direct Care Worker, Private Duty Home Health Care Provider and I’m the Co-Founder of Grahams Rainbows Blessing Hands Organization 501(c)(3). I am the POWERHOUSE behind the Masun Jarzz Anthology Series. My journey in writing is a testament to the power of words and perseverance! My writing has always been a passion and it has turned into a successful career. Writing has been a fulfilling journey for me, it has not always been without its challenges. My writing journey has been incredibly rewarding, it hasn’t always been a smooth road. Like any creative pursuit, it has come with its fair share of challenges.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The most difficult challenging moments for me, was the publishing company that I hired in which my health was truly affected by them, however, I am extremely grateful that I never faced challenges such as self-doubt, nor have I ever had moments when I questioned the quality of my work or if it would resonate with my readers. I’ve learned that pushing through certain things and continuing to write has been vital and crucial in my growth as a three times bestselling author. I managed to balance writing with other responsibilities, dealing with life events, such as having to care for my ill husband battling cancer, sepsis and mental illness, having to care for my husband and work two full time jobs was a significant impact on my writing process, finding the time and discipline to consistently write was extremely difficult for me.
Through the grace of GOD, I DID IT!!! The key to writing a memoir is to be truthful, honest, authentic, and just being able to have the courage to share your personal memories and actual life events with the world.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As a little girl, I’ve always said I had a story to tell & I was always asked When are you going to write your book, You know you can write a book, you should write a book, are you going to write a book? However, never did I ever say to myself or others I was going to become an author. I’ve always won 1st place for creative writing and poetry contests, winning certificates, ribbons, awards and trophies.
Many years ago, I entered my doctor office noticing there was a lady who was the receptionist running behind me calling my name trying to pronounce it,
I turned to her and she said to me I’ve been waiting for you, I said who me?? She said yes you!! She and I entered the elevator which was surprisingly empty, this is an elevator that is always super crowded and you have to wait your turn to get on however, it was just she and I. We went up, we went down, we went up, we went down, we had church in the elevator. She said to me, God said, tell your story write your book, I was raised to never question God, I could not ask God when was I suppose to be writing this book so, what I did was I asked God would he tell me when to write my book.
7 years after I met God in the elevator God told me to write my book. Things are not in our timing; things are in Gods timing! I truly believe God wanted me to have a peace of mind and inner peace and to have been in a tranquil serene place in my mind as well as my dwelling. That being said, since meeting God in the elevator {God used the receptionist as a vessel to deliver my message to me} seven years ago. I’ve relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona. However, I am originally from Detroit, Michigan. I was obedient, I’ve birthed into the world my Debut Memoir called illusion what do you see when you see me?! I’ve also birthed into the world, my Biblical prayer book called Daily affirmations from the Lord’s prayer 365 days, both available on Barnes and Noble, Amazon, Apple Books and many other platforms.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
In five years, I see myself being a world-renowned global phenomenon and legendary legend!!!
