Alright, thank you for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us how you got started?
I moved to Arizona at 18 from a small town in Illinois with a dream of opening my own Aesthetic business. It has taken me 13 years, but I am thankful I took the path I did. I have worked in many aesthetic companies, including Dermatology, Medical Spas, and as an Aesthetic/Laser Instructor. I have extensive education on complex skin conditions, treatments, and technologies. I have worked in fast-paced corporate medical spas, luxurious, upscale aesthetic offices, and dermatology medically focused environments.
At Define Beauty Medspa, I have taken a little piece of each experience and created a business that provides my patients with the ability to achieve their goals in a comfortable, clean environment. I am committed and passionate about continuing my education. I will always provide my patients with the highest education and technology available. I am also excited to start offering Advanced Training classes to Licensed Aestheticians through Define Beauty Medspa. These classes will be available for any Licensed Aesthetician that wants to learn more advanced techniques and business practices within the Aesthetic field. The course will include an online class series and the option to train in person with myself and a live model. I am excited to share the knowledge I have gained with my fellow Aesti’s. This course will be available to any Aesthetician within the US.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Owning your own business can come with a new challenge on a daily basis. With each challenge, I learn, grow, and overcome, which leaves me feeling even more accomplished. I like calI this “adding to my toolbox”. I believe in three key points in overcoming challenges: always believe in yourself, never give up, and give yourself grace.
