Meet Erica “E Alo” Lynne

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erica “E Alo” Lynne.

Hi Erica, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Music has pulled at my heart strings for as long as I can remember… it’s such a beautiful thing to me. We can share emotions and experiences, even store memories in music.

I’ve always longed to create my own but never had the tools or known anyone with the knowledge until I came to AZ in 2013 to attend the audio school CRAS. After finishing up school, I had enough tools in my belt to hit the ground running and I haven’t stopped since.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
No matter what you’re up to in life you will have bumps in the road… sometimes the factors are outside of yourself, but most times they are from within yourself (at least that’s what I have experienced). Stuff can get in your way but you can always figure that out if you are not busy struggling with yourself.

My creative journey has exposed and shined the light on my weaknesses but since I’m so motivated by this pursuit, it provides a super rewarding vehicle for growth that has affected all areas of my life. As we all know it’s tough to struggle, but I’m grateful for these opportunities to learn, grow, and do better while doing what I love.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I create music that I hope touches people’s hearts and helps lift the weight of the world off their shoulders… my specialty is super melodic, instrumental, and electronic music ranging from ambient to mid-tempo.

Folks have heard me say this before, but it’s still true and one of the highest honors of my life…
the fact that I am able to create music that is unique and that I truly love is a dream come true. The only thing better is being able to share it with others who appreciate it too, I’m so grateful.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
NFT’s are a big deal right now and have everyone talking, I’d say that’s the next big thing for releasing music. An artist named BT recently released an album that he called a “programmatic blockchain experience.” Each track changes and evolves over time, so each time you listen, it’s slightly different.

Plus the album also allows for fans to solve a cryptographic treasure hunt to win NFT’s… I think this type of thing is the future of music and I’m really excited to see where this all goes and at some point have some fun with it myself using my own creations.
