Check Out Maineflixzz’ Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maineflixzz.

Hi Maineflixzz, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Growing up as a kid, both my grandfathers inspired me with their photography. One took photographs for the U.S. Army and the other was a wedding/studio photographer. I can remember how happy I felt when they shared their work with me. My childhood centered around playing sports but by the time I was in high school, I would catch myself always editing pictures on my cell phone to the point that I would be distracted from class.

In college, I was pursuing basketball and a Media/Communications degree but quickly realized I wanted to be my own boss. After graduating college I took the risk of starting my own business with the hobby I always enjoyed – photography and videography. So I packed my car and moved across the country from a small town in Ohio to San Francisco, CA.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
When is life a smooth road? Life is always changing, evolving, and teaching. This means we have to learn to adjust and grow which always comes with struggles. Moving to a big city like San Francisco, I felt the creative industry was very intimidating. I had thought that with the amount of people in a big city it would be easy to find clients and build up my business but that takes time and action. As I put myself into action I built a client base that spread across the state of California.

I could feel my business growing but personally I wasn’t. I felt suffocated because I needed a new environment. I visited Phoenix and felt pulled to move here so I found myself starting again in a new big city.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My business has evolved into me traveling to provide visual content for bloggers, music artists, YouTubers, small businesses, corporations, models and private clients. I specialize in portraits, special events, music videos and film photography.

Today, I also co-own and operate two creative studios available for client rental: 408 Studios in Los Angeles and Sound Valley Studios in Phoenix.

I am most proud of the positive feedback I receive with client experience. My goal is that my clients feel comfortable through the whole process from booking to final product. I show up to each project with excitement and a passion to connect with you.

Personal referrals are the best validation for me because it means my client was happy and trusts me to make the next person as happy.

I’m up to try anything! I just love creating!

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I often get compliments about my bright color concepts but most people would probably be surprised to learn that I have color blindness. I feel this makes me unique!
