Is there a do-list addict support group in the world? Asking for a friend! 😉 It's my first week postpartum that I feel like I can actually dig in and get things done again- hooray! But particularly as a mom of two I quickly feel the overwhelm of not enough time in the day to accomplish everything on my list. 📝 About a year ago, I found a big hack to make sure I could accomplish more and it made it feel like I'd found more time in my day. I had a million excuses not to get in my weekly run. 1. I'm exhausted 2. My dad's party is tomorrow and I'm stressed 3. My sister and her kids flew into tonight and I'm soaking up the Auntie loving. 4. My brother was here with his kids, and I was totally enjoying all of my babies under one roof. 5. My plantar fasciitis seems to be acting up. 6. Did I mention I'm exhausted?!? 🤷 But no excuse held me back. In fact I used all of those excuses to drive me. 💪 1. Push harder 2. My stress level needs this run 3.After 30 minutes has passed, I can get more cuddles 4. All of my babies will need me for years to come so I need to run to be healthy for them. 5. Foot pain will go away with stretching 6. I need to be an example 💝 So, I went for a run. And guess what?!?! I beat my time by 1 minute 7 seconds!! Holy cow Batman. That's some serious improvement!! I think in runners world that no joke! 🚀 Can you imagine what would have happened if I let myself talk myself out of my run?? I might not be any faster. I wouldn't be as proud of myself as I am. I surely wouldn't have done the happy dance in the middle of the street with my neighbors watching!! LOL (no joke). Non of that happiness would have happened IF I DIDN'T GO. Learning is living here, as creating is being in heaven. – ACIM _ Sometimes I wake up with the fear of sharing my thoughts and ideas.
