Today we’d like to introduce you to Noelle Salinas.
Fresh from the Kitchen catering is a company driven by one woman’s passion for delivering the best food, service, and experiences. Emphasis on natural, high quality ingredients, ‘a taste of perfection!’ is the company motto and is the ideology behind the passion. Fresh from the Kitchen offers full service catering for weddings, social, or corporate events, and celebrates diversity, with hard working employees from all different backgrounds.
Noelle Salinas is the culinary trained business owner of Fresh from the Kitchen. She studied locally at Phoenix College receiving a dual associates degree in food service administration and culinary studies. Having a passion for creating delicious food from a young age, Noelle knew it was her destiny to be a business owner and delight the public’s palate. Celebrating ten years in business this October, Fresh from the Kitchen will continue to be a purveyor of excellence in the food service world.
The company was initially started with a business partner, and a five-hundred-dollar investment out of each owner’s pocket. Literally, with no bank loans, and renting a small by the hour commercial kitchen, Fresh from the Kitchen immediately started booking weddings very easily, and every dollar made went back into the company to purchase more supplies and hire staff.
To date. Fresh from the Kitchen did get its first bank loan less than a year ago; built its very own commercial kitchen and consultation room from the ground up; and purchased it’s first of (surely!) many box trucks to add to the catering vans the company already owns. Plans for expanding further into Northern Arizona have been discussed and is a viable option for the future of the company.
Has it been a smooth road?
Has the road been smooth? Yes and no.
The path for growth, more events, higher end events, and working with amazing vendors in the industry made for a smooth path over the years.
Having a business partner however, did eventually result in many hardships that ultimately led to a buy out so that Noelle could continue as sole owner.
Building the commercial kitchen that Fresh from the Kitchen has been in for a year now, was one of the hardest projects ever. There were many tears, a lot of money spent, and deadlines that kept getting pushed back. It was a true blessing once it was complete, and all our catering obligations could be smoothly carried out again.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
Business Mission: To create an experience that comes with exquisite service, exceptional food, amazing quality, and foods free of hormones, pesticides, and additives. A commitment to have every event be exceptionally beautiful, stress free, and memorable. To keep current with trends combined with modern presentation techniques to create seamless parties. To be the right fit for any client’s vision.
Fresh from the Kitchen is known for good food, friendly staff, and attention to detail. Each event is made beautiful and tasty. With us, you get both, not one or the other. We are also a full-service catering company. What this means is we can take care of rentals, decor, bar service, wedding cake and desserts, and of course fabulous food.
I, Noelle Salinas, owner, am most proud of catering one of the company’s largest and most amazing events; the Maxim Magazine’s Super Bowl Party hosted by Nick Cannon and held in a Scottsdale hangar in January of 2015. Over 1,300 guests enjoyed specialty cocktails and appetizers served by Fresh from the Kitchen. It was such a privilege and huge honor to see the company that started out with a one thousand dollar out of pocket investment, with no loans or help from anyone, be the company that fed what some would consider sports and entertainment royalty. And of course, the icing on the cake so to speak, was the stunning five out of five stars review the company received for catering the Maxim Super Bowl Party.
Fresh from the Kitchen has allowed passion and love for events guide our growth and how we do business. Thus, this sets us apart from the competition. Being flexible and willing to work with our clients makes us easy to work with and sought after.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Do we love where we’re located? Yes absolutely! Phoenix and the surrounding areas is a growing city and many people move here from all over the nation. Having a catering company is a need throughout the valley for anyone looking to have good food at their event, whatever the occasion. Food brings people together, and good food makes for great conversation!
For anyone just getting started, network, find your niche, educate yourself, take some risks, have a good social media presence, a great website, and a business plan.
