Today we’d like to introduce you to Beau Yotty.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I was hooked on films at a young age. The stories that inspired and motivated me as a child, still have the same impact on me today. Whether it was Stallone’s ‘Rocky’ instilling desire and the will to never give up, or Clint Eastwood fighting for what’s right, no matter the cost.
I believe we need heroes as individuals, as well as a culture. Creating a story that motives and inspires the viewer is my ultimate goal. That is the reason I created my motion picture company, Lone Gunslinger Pictures.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
If someone tells you success is easy and happens overnight, they’re not telling you the truth.
Struggle and failure is part of the process. Learning from past experiences is an essential aspect of growing as a filmmaker and as a human being.
Just as Friedrich Nietzsche put it, “That which does not kill us makes us stronger.”

I wanted to make films that focus on characters. That’s why I created Lone Gunslinger Pictures. For a number of years now, I kept hearing from movie fans and avid television watchers, who complained that they didn’t identify with the characters they watched on screen.
They also reiterated the idea, “There aren’t any new ideas.” With the advances in technology and the ability to create films and shows, there should be an overabundance of ideas. Our goal is to create films that focus on characters with entertaining, original stories.
