Paige, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Paige and just like you, I love my furbabies to pieces! I love channeling my creativity through art. I started Peeping Pets after I made one for each of my Golden girls, Bella and Zoey. After I hung them up in our home, family and friends asked if I could make one for their pet(s). They became such a hit, I decided to spread this joy to the masses and start my company – Peeping Pets!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’d have to say learning how to use the proper tools, techniques and software to create my digital art was my biggest struggle. In the beginning I wanted to be SO good, immediately. I compared myself to other artists and got frustrated at times. I’d spend days on a portrait and end up not liking it, so I’d have to start over. I watched hours of YouTube tutorials, bought all the equipment and my art was still subpar. It drove me NUTS. You can tell from my most recent art, compared to when I first started, I’ve come a long way! Naturally, I’ve gotten better at my craft over time. For those who are just starting out, be patient with yourself. You’ll get there!

Peeping Pets allows you to tap into your imaginative side! These are made-to-order digitally painted pet portraits. They peep through the frame in the cutest, most unique way. They’ll surely bring a smile to your face, and they make thoughtful, personal gifts as well. I’m known for taking a photo of your pet and drawing a unique digital portrait of them. You can even tell me to add a crown to your pet, because well, they are royalty after all. I’ve also drawn halos, for our sweet furbabies who have crossed over the rainbow bridge. Once the artwork is completed and the portrait(s) have been approved, I send the digital art via email in very high resolution files. What’s awesome is you can do whatever your heart desires with your Peeping Pet art. My customers are so creative – I’ve seen everything from coffee mugs, massive canvas’s, mouse pads, to Thank You cards made with their art. Peeping Instagram profile pictures are adorable as well.
What does success mean to you?
For many reasons, I love my little business. – I love animals – I love having a creative outlet that brings so much joy to others – I love reading my customers reactions when I send their mock ups – I love seeing the finished pieces brought to life – Most of all, I love how this journey has created new friendships. Spreading happiness is the biggest defining factor of success, to me.
