Community Highlights: Meet Shante Saulsberry of Janice Vaincre Boutique/ Janice’s Women’s Center

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shante Saulsberry. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Janice Vaincre Boutique is local clothing, shoe, and jewelry store located in Phoenix, Arizona. This boutique was founded in June of 2021, and it is a social impact store that provides the procurement funds that go to Janice’s Women’s Center. This center is a non-profit organization that supports domestic violence and homelessness victims. Since this non-profit is not governmentally funded, it solely relies on donors, sponsors, and fundraisers to keep the mission going. Janice Vaincre Boutique is a part of this funding as most of its funds go towards the production of Janice’s Women’s Center and to the victims it supports. The community of Phoenix and around have helped keep the boutique afloat, especially during the hard times of COVID-19.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has not been so easy as there have been obstacles along the way. As mentioned, the boutique opened up during a time of great worry and stress in the air. As this was the time of COVID-19, with this pandemic came a lot of struggles as many were facing financial barriers and could not afford to do any extra shopping. There is a problem with the number of people that come into the boutique daily as they don’t know that we are here. I find that more customers come into the shop through word of mouth and social media.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Janice Vaincre Boutique/ Janice’s Women’s Center?
My name is Shante Saulsberry, founder of Janice’s Women’s Center and Owner of Janice Vaincre Boutique. This boutique and this center play hand-in-hand with one another as they both support the efforts to help those who are victims of domestic violence and homelessness. I run the operations of both the boutique and the center. Oversee the employment of those on my payroll And market highly to those within and around the community. I also take time to reach out to other organizations to partner with that will help provide aid to the victims of domestic violence and homelessness.

What sets me apart from others; is my drive and determination to ensure the success of the boutique and the center happen. I am known for being a powerhouse that way, as I don’t give up and change the no’s into yeses. What I want readers to know about my brand is that it is a worthwhile experience. When you shop at Janice Vaincre Boutique, you are shopping for a cause to help needy victims.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The quality that I feel is most important to my success is innovation, which pushes my drive to succeed in creating new ways to fundraise, spread the word, and make important connections.
