Today we’d like to introduce you to Reena Giola.
Reena, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
My love of photography landed me in the portrait photography area when a friend asked me to photograph her family. I had so much fun at her session that I decided that I wanted to specialize in portraits. I love photographing high school seniors – and I love it when I get the chance to photograph the senior and their family. My love of photography also includes pets, volunteering for a rescue group and working with Pima Animal Care Center with a fellow photographer.
I also love nature – landscapes which include sunset or sunrise are my favorite (especially beach photos) as well as wild animals. Sea Turtles, hummingbirds and hawks (raptors) are my love.
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I want my clients to have a great time at their session, to have fun. To LOVE their images. I create my images with my heart and soul…. each person, each session is individualized. I create timeless artwork for families and seniors.
Artists rarely, if ever pursue art for the money. Nonetheless, we all have bills and responsibilities and many aspiring artists are discouraged from pursuing art due to financial reasons. Any advice or thoughts you’d like to share with prospective artists?
A photography business for most, doesn’t pay the bills….so if you have a day job, keep it for now. Work on your technique, mastering it. Don’t under sell your work just to get more business and when you are solid with your work and have many clients with more coming in, then decide if you want to do this full time.
What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
