Meet Sydnie Cadenas of Luv Luxe in Old Town Scottsdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sydnie Cadenas.

Sydnie, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Well, let’s kick it back to the beginning, I was born in Detroit Michigan with very  humble beginnings being raised by a teen mom. She was determined to let my light shine bright in life. Barbies and dolls weren’t my thing but take me to the local office supply store and I was in HEAVEN! I wasn’t sure what I was going to be when I grew up. What I do know is many people called me an “old soul.”  I loved to make money and wasn’t afraid to put in the work to earn it. I considered myself a “professional” neighborhood landscaper at the ripe age of eight. I later became the “custodial engineer” (a.k.a. the toilet scrubber) at the local Boys and Girls Club. At the age of 15 and took great pride in my toilet cleaning skills. At the age of 11, two incredible people jumped into my life journey to help raise me and guide me thru this beautiful thing we all call life. Fast forward to my early 20’s. I like to call these years the “crash course of learning lessons.” I was basically running a marathon backwards in the mud and I HATE RUNNING! I fell HARD a couple of times while trying to build my professional career. During these challenging years, I had the opportunity to work for a luxury retailer as a handbag specialist. This is when my fire was lit. I appreciated luxury fashion and the talent behind those coveted bag everyone admired on the shelves. From that point on in my life, I knew luxury fashion was going to play a huge part in my journey. SLOWLY chipping away at my dreams I started building what today is known as LUV LUXE. A luxury handbag resale company in the heart of Old Town, Scottsdale.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
If you know any entrepreneur that has had a “smooth road,” PLEASE introduce me to them! If it was easy, I don’t believe it would be a very rewarding journey. Like most young entrepreneurs, I have had my fair share of doubters. I chased the golden coin a couple of times to find out it was just a piece of spray painted gold tinfoil. But the journey is what makes the story. It’s the reason I can hold my head high today and say I DID IT! I ran the muddy marathon, ran after the tin coin and through it all made my dreams a reality.

We always love to ask about the support network – have there been people, perhaps mentors or advisors, who have played a big role in your success?
I have to give it up to my incredible husband. I started Luv Luxe before we were married, but this man has been such an avid part in building what Luv Luxe is today. He has pushed me to strive for more. He has cheered me on when I felt like I was in the last quarter of the game and down by a hundred points and has NEVER doubted me. Life is a journey and you can never really predict what is ahead. If you are blessed to have someone by you to encourage you, never let go.

As my husband always reminds me “the best is yet to come.”
