Meet Michael Edvardsen of City Of Fire hotsauce

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Edvardsen.

Hi Michael, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey into the spice world started around 9 years ago making sauces for friends, family and co-workers.
I officially launched my business City Of Fire hotsauce in 2025 and started selling at local farmer’s markets.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Creating the recipes and coming up with the product has been somewhat challenging but the creative aspect is the fun part.
The real challenge has been starting a business with no prior business management experience.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about City Of Fire hotsauce ?
City Of Fire hot sauce is a craft small batch sauce company.
City Of Fire specializes in hot sauces ranging from mild all-purpose to extreme heat.
We are known for our bold flavor combinations with sauces such as our Strawberry Inferno, which is a habanero, strawberry, honey sauce. Our 118° which is a pineapple, peach, Carolina reaper sauce.
We also have our most popular which is our Chipotle Agave, a bold smokey chipotle flavor balanced our with the sweetness of agave.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is showing my three kids Emily, Taylor and Sam that nothing in life is promised or guaranteed, you have to fight for what you believe in. Speak out, be sincere but say it all with conviction. If you have a dream go for it and never let anyone stop you or tell you can’t.
