Hi Christeen , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey to becoming a massage therapist started 18 years ago, after graduating high school, I worked several different jobs, but none of them felt like the right fit for me. I knew I wanted a career where I could truly make a difference in people’s lives. While researching schools in phoenix and I came across Arizona College of Allied Health. I knew I wanted to do something different and after visiting the campus, I was introduced to the massage therapy program. Before then I knew very little about massage therapy, but something about it immediately resonated with me. Looking back, that moment completely changed the direction of my life.
In 2010, I took another leap of faith and started my own mobile massage business, Healing Touch Massage by Christeen, LLC. Building a business from the ground up came with many challenges from finding clients to learning how to manage every aspect of running a business but those experiences taught me patience, resilience, and the importance of providing exceptional care. Today after 18 years in the field I remain just as passionate about my work as I was when I first started. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of helping people manage pain, recover from injuries, reduce stress, and improve both physical and emotional well- being. I’ve worked in medical, chiropractic, and spa settings, and each experience has helped become a better therapist.
Taking this path into massage therapy in 2007 has been one of the most rewarding decisions of my life. What motivates me most is seeing the positive impact massage therapy has on someone’s quality of life. Every client has a unique story, and I believe that building meaningful relationships and providing passionate care are just as important as the treatment itself. My goal has always been to help people feel better, move better and live healthier lives, and I look forward to continuing that mission for many years to come.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I’m grateful for the journey because every challenge has helped me grow. One of the biggest challenges for me was to leaving my full- time jobs to focus on building my own business. Like many entrepreneurs, I had to learn how to manage not only the hands on work but also the business side- marketing, scheduling, building a loyal client base and handling day to day operations. It took a lot of patience, consistency, and perseverance to establish my business.
As a massage therapist, the work is physically demanding and can also be mentally exhausting at times. Over the years, I’ve learned the importance of self care, proper body mechanics and maintaining healthy work balance so I can continue providing the best care for my clients. Many therapist don’t stay in this profession because of the physical demands, so I’m proud to have been doing this for 18 years. Every challenge whether working in a spa, a medical setting or growing my own practice has shaped me into the therapist and business owner I am today.

Healing Touch Massage by Christeen is a mobile massage therapy practice dedicated to helping clients improve their overall well-being through personalized care. As a mobile massage therapist I bring a professional, relaxing experience directly to my clients, allowing them to enjoy the benefits of massage without the stress of travel. My goal is for every client to feel genuinely cared for before and after each session .
