Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Fimbres.
Hi Nicole , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started The Charcuterie Babe in 2021 by combining two great passions: food and creativity. Growing up I spent a lot of time with both of my grandmas in the kitchen. They taught me that food is much more than something you eat. It has power to bring family and friends together creating memories filled with laughter , love and meaningful conversations. I’ve always had a creative eye and a deep appreciation for beautiful things. Charcuterie is the perfect blend between both. Every board I make is crafted both to be delicious and visually stunning. I created a charcuterie board and posted it on my instagram and before I knew it I was making more and ppl were inquiring about them. That is where it began. Boards started turning into grazers and my passion became my business.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely some struggles in the beginning. With trial and error I had to figure it out. Since I have a full time job, one of my biggest challenges has been balancing work and managing bookings and fulfilling orders. I have to find help sometimes. Luckily, I have a great community of people who support me. In the beginning I also struggled with pricing and overbuying products which affected my profits. Over time I learned how to manage things more effectively.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I do charcuterie catering. I specialize in creating graze tables and charcuterie boards. I am most proud of what I built from the ground up. What sets me apart is my attention to detail I take time to understand each clients needs to create a memorable piece that brings ppl together.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Creativity , attention to detail, organization and strong customer service is all needed to meet the clients expectations.
