Today we’d like to introduce you to Eveline Benjamin.
Hi Eveline, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My career in the beauty industry began over 19 years ago as a licensed medical aesthetician and certified medical laser technician. Early on, I added permanent makeup to my services and quickly discovered my passion for brows. Over time, I became increasingly drawn to manual techniques, especially Microblading and hand-method applications, because of the artistry and natural-looking results they can achieve.
That passion eventually led me to narrow my focus exclusively to brows and establish Brow Me Pretty in Scottsdale, Arizona. Throughout the years, I continued refining my techniques, expanding my education, and developing my own artistic approach to creating soft, realistic brows that enhance each client’s natural beauty.
As my experience grew, so did my desire to teach. I recognized a need for more specialized education focused on manual brow techniques and personalized mentorship. That inspired me to write and publish my own training manuals, develop a structured curriculum, and ultimately pursue one of my biggest goals, opening my own school.
Today, I am proud to be the founder of Brow Me Pretty Academy, a state-licensed school officially approved by the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education. The Academy is dedicated exclusively to brow permanent makeup education, with a focus on manual techniques including Microblading, Nanoblading, Ombré, Combo Brows, and advanced 3D hyperrealistic brows. I teach in small class settings so students receive individualized attention and graduate with both the technical skills and confidence needed to begin their careers.
Looking back, what started as a passion for helping women feel confident has grown into something much bigger, a business, an academy, and an opportunity to help shape the next generation of brow artists. I’m excited for what’s ahead and grateful to continue doing what I love every day.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve had to wear many hats at once—artist, educator, marketer, administrator, and business owner. Building a business requires constant learning and adapting, especially in an industry that evolves so quickly.
One of the biggest challenges was transitioning from being solely a service provider to becoming an educator and opening a state-licensed academy. Developing a curriculum, writing and publishing my own training manuals, navigating the licensing process with the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education, and creating a program that truly prepares students for success required a tremendous amount of time, dedication, and perseverance.
There were moments of uncertainty along the way, but I’ve always viewed challenges as opportunities to grow. Every obstacle has pushed me to improve, stay focused on my vision, and continue raising the standard for brow artistry and education. Looking back, those challenges are what make the accomplishments so meaningful.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’ve always been drawn to work that helps people feel good about themselves. Over the years, I’ve developed my own approach to semi-permanent brow artistry, focusing on soft, natural-looking results that enhance a person’s features rather than change them. I think that’s one of the reasons clients connect with my work, it’s never about following trends, but about creating something timeless, personal, and giving clients the quality work they deserve.
As much as I love working with clients, I love teaching just as much. One of the most rewarding parts of my career has been sharing everything I’ve learned with my students, the things I wish I had been taught when I first started, from technique and artistry to ethics, professionalism, confidence, and building a sustainable business.
I’m proud that I took the extra step to make Brow Me Pretty Academy officially licensed by the Arizona State Board for Private Postsecondary Education. For me, it was never just about opening a school; it was about creating a program that reflects my values and provides students with the education, support, and foundation they need to succeed in this industry.
At this stage of my career, what means the most to me isn’t awards or milestones. It’s seeing a former student open her own business, or hearing a client say she feels more confident when she looks in the mirror. Those moments remind me why I chose this path in the first place.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
If I had to choose one quality that has contributed most to my success, it would be perseverance. Building a career, a business, and eventually a state-licensed academy didn’t happen overnight. There were many moments that required patience, adaptability, and the willingness to keep moving forward even when things felt uncertain.
Equally important to me is staying true to my values. I’ve always believed in doing things the right way, whether that’s providing quality work to my clients, maintaining high ethical standards, or creating an educational program that truly supports my students. I may not take the easiest path, but I take pride in knowing that everything I’ve built reflects who I am and what I stand for.
I think success is less about reaching a destination and more about showing up consistently, continuing to learn, and never losing sight of why you started in the first place.
